A Toccoa man won $1 million playing the instant game Georgia Lottery Premium at a Lula convenience store.
Brandon Leverette, a grocery store produce manager, bought the ticket at Circle M Food Shop No. 0012 at 4504 Cornelia Highway in Lula.
“I went to my truck and scratched it,” Leverette, 24, said in a news release. “I almost had a heart attack.”
Leverette said he plans to invest his winnings and buy a new car.
Georgia Lottery profits fund the state’s Hope Scholarship and pre-kindergarten programs.
