A poultry processing plant is being planned for 11 acres on Memorial Park Drive.
Cooley Enterprises is aiming to open a poultry processing operation in an existing facility on 11.27 acres at 2063 Memorial Park Drive near Industrial Drive near the city of Gainesville.
The existing structure was used for offices by Perdue Foods until 2014, and before that the property was used for poultry processing by King’s Delight.
Now, Cooley Enterprises hopes to reopen the plant and hire 20 to 50 employees for weekday work between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The Hall County Planning Commission approved the use of the building for poultry processing, but the request must be approved by the Hall County Board of Commissioners before work can begin.
