Police: Man used hammer to break in to Oakwood cell store

Oakwood Police are looking for a burglar who they say entered the Winder Highway AT&T store around 1:30 a.m. April 26.

A man reportedly broke the front-door glass of an Oakwood AT&T store April 26 and stole merchandise, police said.

Oakwood Police are looking for the burglar who entered the Winder Highway store around 1:30 a.m. April 26.

“The male then entered the business through the broken glass and proceeded to take various cell phone accessories including chargers, cases, speakers and such,” Investigator Todd Templeton wrote in a news release.

While the burglar took less than $200 in merchandise, the property damage was roughly $900.

The man ran from the scene toward the back of the store.

Templeton said the suspect was seen wearing an Abercrombie hoodie that has a zipper.

Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta is offering up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
