A Gainesville woman was injured after authorities said the tablet she was using as a GPS device slipped off her lap and she lost control of her car on a northwest Georgia road.

Shelly Elizabeth Shayne Wilson-Morgan, 45, was driving northbound on Ga. 101 in Floyd County on Wednesday morning when her car “hit a guardrail and flipped a couple of times,” said Floyd County police officer Matthew Hicks.

The vehicle went down an embankment and stopped against some trees.

Wilson-Morgan was taken to Floyd Medical Center. She was not listed in the hospital’s database Friday.
