A 15-year-old is facing charges of aggravated child molestation and aggravated sodomy from two separate cases by different law enforcement agencies, according to authorities.

Jadyn Marcquise Young was arrested on Friday, April 13, and charged with aggravated sodomy.

Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said Young would be charged as an adult, adding the 15-year-old was accused of a “sex act with a child who is less than 10 years of age.”

Attorney Mike Weaver did not return a request for comment.

In February, Young was indicted on three counts of aggravated child molestation. The indictment names three separate children under the age of 16 and claims these acts happened on or about April 13, 2017.

That incident was investigated by Oakwood Police, who have not commented on the facts of the case.

Holbrook said the Gainesville and Oakwood cases are separate.

Gainesville police could not say whether the victim in that case was a victim in the Oakwood indictment.
