A parade and reception honoring Gainesville High School’s AAAAA championship football team has been rescheduled for Wednesday. It was postponed last Wednesday by stormy weather.
School will dismiss one hour early to allow faculty and students to participate.
The parade will leave the high school just before 4 p.m. and travel to Bobby Gruhn Field. The school system noted that a few good places for spectators would be on Oak Street, Academy Street from its intersection with Oak up to Green Street and Green Street toward City Park.
After the parade, which should end about 4:20 p.m., the public can meet with players and coaches on the field. Remarks will be made at 5 p.m.
Entrance will be through the home side gates on the north side of the stadium. The lower parking lot will be reserved for parade vehicles and handicapped parking.
