One woman from a pair of Hall County Jail inmates that didn’t return to the facility has been recaptured, according to authorities.

Hannah Smith, 20, and Jessica Smith, 19, were supposed to return to the jail after a court-ordered Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous meeting Feb. 8.

The two in the jail’s work release program had escape warrants for failing to return to the jail, according to authorities.

“Hannah Smith was taken into custody on Friday and Jessica Smith is still outstanding,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Nicole Bailes wrote in an email. “We are working leads on her whereabouts.”

The two were seen occupying a white 2000 Honda Accord.

Hannah Smith was serving time on a Superior Court and State Court probation warrant, and Jessica Smith was serving time on a Superior Court arrest order from Drug Court, Bailes said.
