A 20th anniversary celebration of the 1996 Summer Olympics is set for 6 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Olympic Park, featuring live entertainment, Olympic athletes, a fireworks show, food trucks and an Olympic volunteer reunion.

The event is free and open to the public. Musical performances begin at 6 p.m., followed by the program at 8 p.m.

All who participated in the Games, particularly local volunteers, are encouraged to attend.

Among the athletes expected to attend are 10-time medalist Carl Lewis, members of the gold-medal winning U.S. women’s gymnastics team, basketball star Teresa Edwards and swimming medalists Amy Van Dyken and Janet Evans. Several dignitaries will be on hand as well.

Paid parking is available in the Marietta Deck, adjacent to the College Football Hall of Fame, or the Red Deck adjacent to the Georgia World Congress Center and Georgia Dome.
