Public input has been light so far, but residents will get another chance Monday to voice opinions about an 84-unit apartment complex proposed as an affordable housing option off Atlanta Highway/Ga. 13 in Oakwood. Gary Hammond Jr. of Sandy Springs-based Landbridge Acquisitions said he heard from only one resident at an April meeting held by Landbridge to explain the project, which calls for the $12.2 million Peaks of Oakwood complex to be built on nearly 9 acres off Osborn Road near Blackshear Place Baptist Church. “That (meeting) was an effort to engage the community and gather comments, but only one property owner showed up,” he said.
