Oakwood Police seeking help to solve burglary

Oakwood Police said this woman was part of an October burglary at the Briarwood Place Apartments.

The Oakwood Police Department is asking for the public’s help for information that could lead to the arrest of two individuals caught on a surveillance camera breaking into a residence at the Briarwood Place Apartments two months ago.

The suspects allegedly forced their way through a rear sliding glass door into the apartment at 4464 Oakwood Road at approximately 2 p.m. Oct. 6, according to police. They allegedly took a computer, cameras and jewelry with an estimated value of more than $2,000.

One of the individuals caught on camera is described as slender built standing about 5 feet 10 inches and weighing approximately 150  pounds. He’s believed to be in his late teens to mid-20s.

The second suspect is described as heavyset, about 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing between 200 and 250 pounds.

Sgt. Danny Sridej said anyone with information that could identify the suspects should contact the Oakwood Police Department at 770-534-2364.
