Wayne Farms in Oakwood is recalling more than 4,000 pounds of “ready-to-eat” chicken, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The grilled chicken breast fillets were made between Aug. 1 and Aug. 29 and shipped to Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and North Dakota, according to the recall release.
“The problem was discovered during a routine records review by the company when it was noted that a similar product had an appearance of being undercooked,” according to the agriculture department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service news release. “There have been no confirmed reports of adverse health effects due to consumption of these products.”
The products were the 9-pound and 22.5-pound “fully cooked flame grilled chicken breast fillets,” according to the news release.
