Northeast Georgia Health System pursues purchase of closed Dahlonega hospital
University system to buy Chestatee property, lease it to Gainesville-based health system

Northeast Georgia Health System will open a new emergency department at the former Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega prior to building a new hospital at a site off Ga. 400.
Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega closed at midnight July 27, and the Northeast Georgia Health System plans to acquire the facility soon.
