The new North Hall Park, featuring ballfields, trails, a community center and technology center, is officially open, and the Hall County Board of Commissioners plans a grand opening for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The park’s various amenities have been opening in phases, with the technology center being the last part of the facility. It opened in late October.
The park is located at 4175 Nopone Road off Cleveland Highway and is open year-round. The community center is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The technology center is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. second and fourth Saturdays.
The center includes a large Apple computer lab, meeting rooms, private study rooms, youth rooms and a coffee shop and help desk.
That center is part of the overall community center, most of which opened in late September and includes basketball courts, a fitness center, an indoor walking track, community rooms, a game room, showers and lockers.
Outdoor facilities opened in August and include Little League baseball fields, a running track, walking trails, a multipurpose field and children’s play area. There also are plans to expand the park with a recreational lawn, more sports fields and hiking and bicycling trails.
