The occupants of a burning home on Hancock Avenue in Gainesville escaped unhurt Friday afternoon. Hall County firefighters responded to the call at 3:46 p.m. on the 1400 block of Hancock Avenue Extension. They found a large column of smoke and the 1,200-square-foot home fully involved in flames.
