Fire crews have extinguished a residential fire on Winder Highway in Flowery Branch. There are no reported injuries.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said the fire at the 2,000 square-foot, wooden-frame home appeared to have started in a nearby outbuilding. No one was home at the time of the fire.

The outbuilding next to the house, located in the 2200 block of Winder Highway, was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived shortly after 10:40 a.m. The flames quickly spread to the house.

Damage to the house was estimated at $70,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
