No one hurt as Hall crews battle 2 house fires

Hall County firefighters battled a couple of house fires Thursday afternoon.

The first occurred around 3:30 p.m. at on 5200 block of Flat Creek Road. Fire crews arrived to find a 2,000-square-foot home with heavy fire coming from the garage area. No one was at home at the time and no injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation. Early estimates on damage were $100,000.

Crews responded to the second fire around 4:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Reynolds Road, where a 1,200-square-foot house was about 30 percent involved. Again, there were no residents at home, with no injuries reported.

The early damage estimate was 50,000, with the fire under investigation.
