Nicholson pair accused of stealing elderly mans tractor
Samuel Bashlor

Two people from Nicholson are accused of robbing an elderly man and taking his tractor, according to authorities.

Megan, 28, and Samuel Bashlor, 26, are charged with robbery by force and exploitation of an elderly person.

The Bashlors are husband and wife, Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware said.

The incident happened Aug. 25 in the 3000 block of Burton Circle and East Hall and involved an 81-year-old man and his John Deere tractor.

“Samuel Bashlor grabbed the victim by his arms, leaving visible bruising, and held him while Megan loaded the tractor on their vehicle,” Ware wrote in a news release.

The victim was Megan Bashlor’s grandfather, authorities said.

Ware said the tractor has been recovered.

Investigators obtained warrants for the Bashlors on Tuesday. Both were booked Wednesday in to the Hall County Jail, where they remain.
