Gainesville native takes post with Indiana U. Health

Gainesville native Adairius Gardner recently joined Indiana University Health as its director of government affairs.

Gardner graduated from Marian University in Indianapolis with a degree in educational studies. Prior to IU Health, Gardner served as the development officer for Methodist Health Foundation, the fundraising entity for Indiana’s largest hospital, IU Health Methodist Hospital.

He previously held several political positions, including communications director for U.S. Rep. Julia Carson, D-Indiana.

In his new role, Gardner will help IU Health build upon its relationships with political, business and community leaders in Indianapolis and across the state.

Fresenius to open new dialysis clinic Friday

Fresenius Medical Care North America is opening a new dialysis clinic in Gainesville on Friday.

The clinic will hold an open house and ribbon-cutting from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at 1492 Jesse Jewell Parkway in Gainesville.

Nurses and staff from Fresenius Medical Care Hall County Dialysis will be on hand to discuss patient services and the latest dialysis treatment options, including home dialysis.

The clinic will also be offering tours of its facility on Friday.
