COVID-19 numbers force East Hall High to cancel in-person instruction beginning Monday
East Hall High School will operate remotely beginning Monday, Dec. 7, and continuing for at least three days. The Hall County School System made the announcement Friday afternoon following a significant amount of absences among staff and students resulting from COVID-19 positive cases.

Newsmakers in business: Cardiologists Cheng, Said join Heart Center in Braselton

The Gainesville-based Northeast Georgia Health System opened its Braselton hospital campus in April 2015.

Two cardiologists have joined The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton.

Dr. Jeh-Wei Cheng joined the practice last week and is accepting patients at the Braselton and Winder locations. Dr. Zaid H. Said also joined and is accepting patients at Braselton, Winder and Hamilton Mill.

“As a cardiologist with The Heart Center of NGMC, I look forward to providing the same great heart care my colleagues at NGMC have been providing for years,” Cheng said. 

Cheng received her medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Zaid H. Said

Said received his medical degree from the University of Baghdad Medical School. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
