After the start of the new year, Hall County Sheriff’s Office Sgt.Todd Casper compared the South Hall roadways to New York traffic.
“About 20 minutes after midnight, it was packed. There was traffic everywhere. About 9:30 p.m., it was like a ghost town,” Casper said.
Law enforcement made nine DUI arrests on Sunday and Monday, a decrease from the 17 arrests last year during the same stretch from New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day.
