A Circle K gas station offering Krispy Krunchy chicken and BP gas is being built in front of the Publix shopping center off Spout Springs Road in Braselton in South Hall.
Krispy Krunchy, a convenience store-based, quick-service restaurant featuring Cajun-flavored chicken, has locations nationwide but none in Hall. It will be inside the 4,200-square-foot Circle K being built in front of the Publix-anchored shopping center in Braselton.
The store, sitting on 1 acre, also will feature BP gas pumps, said Wesley Chong, who owns the property along with Joanne Liu.
Opening this fall, the Circle K will be the latest addition to an area that’s becoming a retail-restaurant hub enveloping Spout Springs and Friendship Road/Ga. 347.
“Traffic on Spout Springs Road was definitely a consideration that we had” in building the store, Chong said.
He noted Hall County’s plans to widen Spout Springs from Hog Mountain Road to Thompson Mill Road near the Gwinnett County line, or just south of the Circle K.
The first phase of the widening — from Hog Mountain to Union Circle — could start next year, as the county is in the throes of right of way acquisition.
Construction on the second phase, between Union Circle and Thompson Mill, would start later.
Chong and Liu also are opening a shopping center off Friendship Road at Friendship Springs Road, across from Jax Fine Wine and Spirits.
The center will feature several tenants, plus a Huddle House restaurant that will be added in 4-5 months, Chong said.
Braselton also is growing rapidly in another South Hall node — Friendship Road at Winder Highway/Ga. 211, or near Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton.
