BRASELTONA Publix shopping center is under development at the intersection of Friendship and Spout Springs roads in Braselton.

Halvorsen Development of Boca Raton, Fla., recently filed plans with the Braselton Planning and Development Department for Friendship Commons, a 39-acre complex in the Hall County portion of Braselton. The shopping center will be across the realigned Friendship Road from the existing Kroger.

According to plans, Friendship Commons will be anchored by a 45,600-square-foot Publix, with 12,960 square feet of shops on either side.

There will be 12 out parcels available, about 1 acre each.

A Halverson representative said he could not give further details about the development.

The shopping center will have two entrances off Spout Springs Road and two off Friendship Road.

A traffic light already is planned for the five-way intersection at Duncan City.

Friendship Commons will use Gainesville water and Braselton sewer.
