Narcotics squad searches turn up $145K in meth

Some $144,800 in methamphetamine was found between two Hall County locations following searches by the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad.

MANS agents and Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies searched a location on or near McConnell Drive today, finding a pound of methamphetamine and a loaded semiautomatic pistol. Agents estimate the value of the drugs to be $44,800.

Officers performed the second search at a home on or near Georgia Avenue, seizing 2.2 pounds of methamphetamine and roughly $8,000 in cash. The estimated street value of the drugs found there is $100,000.

The investigation is ongoing, with no arrests at this time.
