Mother, son lose home in Monday night fire

Hall County firefighters battled a blaze at this mobile home Monday night. The home was a total loss.

A mother and her teenage son lost their home to a fire Monday night.

Their 14x60 singlewide mobile home in the 2400 block of Bolman Road off Ga. 60 South was a total loss, though some items were salvageable. No one was injured in the blaze, which Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett said was started by a candle and was accidental.

The home was 40 percent involved with fire when Hall County Fire Services arrived. An offensive attack extinguished the blaze.

The American Red Cross has been contacted to assist the residents.
