Two children under the age of 5 were ejected from a car and killed Wednesday evening when the vehicle overturned several times.
Tiffany Grubb, 24, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was driving a Toyota 4Runner around 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, on Ga. 400 near Whelchel Road. Georgia State Patrol said Grubb drove into the median.
“The vehicle then overturned several times ejecting two minor children of the ages 2 and 4. Neither child was properly restrained at the time of the crash,” state patrol said.
De’Jean Dewayne Glover, 2, and Jah’ziyah Serenity Glover, 4, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both children belonged to Grubb.
Grubb has been charged with two counts of first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, driving while license suspended or revoked, reckless driving, two safety restraint violations and two counts of endangering a child under the age of 14 while DUI.
“The investigation is still ongoing by Georgia State Patrol Post 37 personnel and the Troop B Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team,” state patrol said.
