The unemployment rate for the metro Gainesville area, which includes all of Hall County, ticked down to 4.7 percent in April, its lowest mark since April 2008, in numbers released Thursday by the Georgia Department of Labor. It was the latest positive indicator for economic recovery in Hall County, all of which is included in the Labor Department statistics. “We’ve got a lot of economic growth going on in Hall County,” said Tim Evans, Greater Hall County Chamber of Commerce vice president for economic development.
