Multiple roads in the middle of Gainesville will be blocked off for about three hours for Monday’s 13th annual Memorial Day Parade.

The parade route will travel down Green Street toward the downtown square, turn left onto E.E. Butler Parkway and turn right onto Spring Street to end at the parking garage. Those streets along the route, as well as a portion of West Academy Street, will start to be blocked off at 9 a.m., and the parade begins at 10 a.m.

Officers will be stationed at major intersections to assist with detours.

The parade lineup will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church or Gainesville Civic Center.

For more information on the parade, visit http://www.gainesville.org/fm/events/detail/id/1204/.

Parade attendees are encouraged to use the downtown parking garage located at E.E. Butler between Broad Street and Spring Street.
