A 72-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease has been found in Anderson, S.C., after he went missing Wednesday morning.

William Henry Thomas was found safe about 4:40 p.m. Thursday with his dog, a pit bull puppy, after having car trouble.

Medical personnel were evaluating him Thursday.

Gainesville Police had been searching for him, and a Mattie’s Call had been issued.
