A 63-year-old man remains hospitalized after a stabbing that happened Friday night on Ledan Extension.

A 44-year-old Gainesville man, Bodie Eugene McDougal, has been charged with the crime, according to a news release from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident, which authorities say occurred late Friday evening and left the victim with stab wounds on his face and in his abdominal area.

As of Monday afternoon, the victim remained at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in stable condition.

McDougal is being held without bond at the Hall County Jail on charges of aggravated assault
