A Braselton man has been arrested and charged in the shooting of another man Tuesday night. Kreg Rayburn, 24, was wounded in the leg and foot in the incident. He was listed in stable condition Wednesday morning at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Barrow County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lloyd Hudson, 38, and charged him with aggravated assault and violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. He is being held at the Barrow County Detention Center awaiting bond. Deputies responded to the incident just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at 1235 Ga. 124 in Braselton, Hudson’s residence. They found Rayburn had been shot with a .357-caliber revolver.

Sherriff’s investigators say a possible dispute between the two men, who are acquainted, may have led to the shooting. The drug charges stem from marijuana located in the suspect’s residence when investigators executed a search warrant in connection with the shooting.
