On Thursday around 11 a.m., deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a home in the 3100 block of Athens Highway. A deputy captured a man who was stealing metal from the home, Hall County Sheriff's Col. Jeff Strickland said.

David Wayne Burns, 34, of Gainesville was arrested and charged with burglary.
