A Gainesville man is accused of shooting a BB pistol at another vehicle during an alleged road rage incident, according to authorities.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated an incident around 11 p.m. Wednesday on Ga. 53/Winder Highway near Cooper’s Tree Farm in South Hall.
Lt. Scott Ware said Cody Marcus Myers, 32, allegedly “shot the rear driver’s side window of a car driven by the victim … during a ‘road rage’ type incident.”
The victim was uninjured, though the vehicle suffered at least $500 in damage.
Ware said the two people did not know each other.
“Following the incident, the victim called 911 and provided dispatchers a description of the suspect’s vehicle as well as a partial tag number,” Ware wrote in a news release.
Myers was arrested the following day, and the BB gun was recovered, Ware said.
He was charged with terroristic acts and second-degree criminal damage to property.
Myers’ attorney Anna Szatkowski wrote in an email that she is still learning “about the circumstances surrounding the case and look forward to representing Mr. Myers.”
