A Gainesville man is accused of inappropriately touching a 15-year-old girl and “reportedly paid (the) juvenile for sexual favors,” said Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook.

Miguel Angel Jimienez-Galan, 31, was charged with child molestation and pandering by compulsion.

According to the warrants, Jimienez-Galan is accused of child molestation between January 2015 and January 2016, allegedly placing his hands on her breasts and genitals.

Holbrook said the girl was 15 when these alleged acts took place.

On the pandering by compulsion warrant, Jimienez-Galan allegedly “did by duress and coercion attempt to cause … (the victim) to perform an act of prostitution and perform sex with him in exchange for money.”

Holbrook said the girl has some form of a learning disability.

Defense attorney Andy Maddox declined to comment.

Jimienez-Galan also has an immigration hold, according to the Hall County Jail online database.
