Lula City Council has put off a Jan. 28 planning session until Councilwoman Vicky Chambers, who was seriously injured in a Jan. 10 wreck, can participate. The council agreed to the postponement at the request of Mayor Milton Turner, who started Tuesday night’s regular meeting, before a customary prayer, by asking those present to remember Chambers. The councilwoman is the intensive care unit at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following an accident on Joe Chandler Road after she was hit head-on by Joshua Armour, 23, of Gainesville.
