No one was home when a doublewide mobile home was destroyed by fire overnight in Lula, totalling $35,000 in damage.

The call came in at about 1:30 a.m., and when firefighters arrived to the 4000 block of Noah Martin Road, the home was fully involved, Capt. Scott Cagle of Hall County Fire Services said.

The owner was not living in the home, though it was furnished. It is a total loss, Cagle said.

The cause of the fire is unknown as of Friday evening and is still under investigation.
