A Lula man was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital after he was struck while riding a four-wheeler Monday night.
Joseph Turner, 44, was riding along the shoulder of Old Cornelia Highway north of Harris Drive about 9:15 p.m. Monday, the Georgia State Patrol said. According to patrol reports, Turner turned his Honda 300 left into the path of a northbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by 44-year-old Kirk Adams of Lula.
Turner's four-wheeler was struck by the front of Adams' truck. The patrol said Turner failed to yield while turning left.
Turner was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital with critical injuries. His condition was not immediately available Tuesday morning.
There were no other injuries in the accident.
