North Hall motorists may have afternoon delays on Cleveland Highway/U.S. 129 Wednesday and Thursday, April 24-25, because of work being done on the Longstreet Bridge.

Beams are being set on the bridge, which crosses the Chattahoochee River, forcing lane closures 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The DOT is replacing both Longstreet and Bells Mill bridges for $34 million. Bells Mill is also on U.S. 129 and crosses the East Fork Little River.

The bridge replacements are set for completion in September 2020.
