Holiday festivities in the area will cause some frequently used streets to shut down for awhile this weekend. Christmas on Green Street, organized by the Hall County Historical Society, is set for Sunday in Gainesville. It begins with an antique car parade lead by Santa Claus at 4:45 p.m. and follows with festival activities, such as face painting and musical entertainment, until 7:15 p.m. The annual parade for the celebration will begin at the Civic Center.
