Local residents inducted into Phi Kappa Phi
Six named to collegiate honor society

The following local residents recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines: Leigh Styron of Gainesville, initiated at Columbus State University Greer French of Dawsonville, initiated at Georgia College & State University William Carrick of Flowery Branch, initiated at Georgia Southern University Olivia Boza of Flowery Branch, initiated at Mercer University Tanya Howington of Jefferson, initiated at The University of Mississippi Matt McCormack of Gainesville, initiated at Auburn University These residents are among approximately 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership.
