The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments has named State Representative Lee Hawkins, R-Gainesville, as the vice chairman of the House Health & Human Services Committee. Rep. Hawkins currently serves as a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Health, and on the Insurance and Regulated Industries committees. “I would like to thank Speaker Ralston and the members of the Committee on Assignments for allowing me to serve in this position,” Hawkins said in a news release.
