Leads sought in Golden Pantry robbery

The Golden Pantry on Ga. 53 South at Tanners Mill Road was robbed shortly before 10 p.m. Monday.

Hall County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the armed robbery shortly after 10 p.m. They are searching for a man last seen wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt. The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash in an older model red Ford Mustang,officials said.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, the perpetrator took money from the convenience store clerk and pointed the gun at the clerk again as if he intended to shoot him.

The clerk responded by pulling out his own pistol and fired several shots at the perpetrator as he fled, none of which deputies believed wounded the perpetrator.
