An attempted traffic stop led to a chase and eventual arrest of the suspect late Sunday morning. A police officer with the Flowery Branch Police Department attempted to pull over the suspect, James Armstrong, after a reading of the license plate came back showing it as a stolen vehicle out of Lawrenceville, according to Flowery Branch Police Chief David Spillers. Armstong, 39, of Lawrenceville, fled the scene, eventually pulling into the Regions Bank parking lot off of Mundy Mill Road, Spillers said.
