The Georgia Department of Transportation advises motorists in Hall County of a single lane closure this weekend at the bridge over Lake Lanier on Ga. 53/Dawsonville Highway West.

Closures begin at 8 p.m. Friday and end at 5 a.m. Monday. Workers are painting the bridge as part of a renovation project that began last fall.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of June at a construction cost of $2.9 million.
