Lake Lanier parks off Buford Dam Road will be closed Tuesday, June 8, because of maintenance work on the road, the Army Corps of Engineers said in a press release Thursday, June 3.

The closure is expected to take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Affected recreation areas include Lower Pool East, Lower Overlook, Lower Pool West and West Bank parks.

The corps suggests Ga. 20 as an alternate travel route.
