A monthlong series of events will start Saturday to help the Lake Lanier Islands resort fill about 500 seasonal positions.

The Georgia Department of Labor will assist with the recruitment events.

Saturday’s event, like all the others, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Peachtree Pointe, 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford. It will focus on hiring food service and beverage workers and culinary team members.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old on the day of the event. Pay will depend on the position.

Other hiring events are set for March 8 and March 22. The March 8 recruitment will focus on hiring for admissions personnel and retail workers, personnel to work on the beach at Lanierworld’s water park, dockworkers and personnel to clean up the beach area. The March 22 recruitment will be for lifeguards and water quality control workers at Lanierworld.

Also, several hiring events will be held at various times and dates throughout the month. For a listing of hiring events, visit the company’s website.
