Capt. Andre Niles with the Hall County Marshal’s Office was named Wednesday as the state’s 2013 Code Enforcement Officer of the Year. The award from Keep Georgia Beautiful, given at a luncheon in Atlanta, recognized Niles for time and energy put toward creating a safe and clean environment in Hall County. Niles’ achievements include forming a foreclosure registry in Hall to allow code enforcement officers to more easily find owners of foreclosed and vacant properties that need attention.
