A man died Friday night following an accident at a Flowery Branch manufacturing facility.

Adam Wingo, 30, died in the incident at Koswire, a Korean-based manufacturer of wires and cables with a plant on Cantrell Road.

The employee appeared to have gotten his hand caught in the machinery at his work station and was pulled in, according to Hall County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks. The machine was part of the process of producing small wire from larger stock.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. Friday.

Wingo’s identity was not immediately released pending notification of his family members.

Wilbanks said the accident remains under investigation and that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration was  involved as well.
