Georgia Department of Transportation crews are set to work on Interstate 985, starting Wednesday and ending July 16.
Workers will build shoulders and install cable barrier in the median 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, as weather permits, during the period.
The work will take place in the southbound lanes from Exit 17 to south of Exit 16.
Crews are scheduled to close the inside lane of I-985 north between Exit 16 and north of Exit 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday for guardrail work. Delays are expected in the work zone, DOT officials said.
