The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is holding its third annual “Be Kind to Animals Week” kids art contest.

Kindergartners through 12th-graders are invited to submit their artwork celebrating their passion for animals by April 2. Entry forms are available at the humane society, located at 845 W. Ridge Road in Gainesville, or by visiting the agency’s Web site.

During “Be Kind to Animals Week,” which will be held May 2-8, the agency will hold special adoption events and shelter programs.
