A Georgia-based, fast Japanese hibachi chain is now open in Gainesville. Hibachi Express recently opened its first Gainesville location at 1872 Thompson Bridge Road, where the old Jet’s Pizza used to be. “This restaurant was founded in South Georgia, and now we have locations in Valdosta, Albany, Columbus, Milledgeville, Americus, Atlanta and now Gainesville,” said Terry Ho, who helped owner Youda Zhu with the Gainesville location of the franchise.
